Vongphasit is one of the 20 health providers from 4 northern provinces: Oudomxay, Xiengkhuang, Luang Phrabang, and Khammaun, including Vientiane Youth Center have participated in the 3rd Adolescent and Youth-Friendly Services Training of Trainers (AYFS TOT), organized by UNFPA on National Adolescent and Youth-Friendly Health Services (NAYFHS) guidelines. End of May 2019, mentors from Nang Noi - Girls Group (an initiative by UNFPA and Lao Govt) received 20 bicycles for 10 villages coverage. In rural villages people live far from each other, traveling can be a challenge for the girls to join weekly activity! The mentors will use the bicycles to visit the girls and provide life skills training including reproductive health information

In Laos, UNFPA staff took part in the communication workshop. Guided by the One Voice planning tool, the team took a One Voice journey to review and summarize UNFPA’s unique values and successes in delivering for women and young people in Laos. In role-play games, staff had to pitch to donors and with more practice, everyone can be the spokesperson for UNFPA.
